China Cultural Center in Nigeria was established on March 2, 2012, based on the agreement signed by both countries, and opened on Sept 9, 2013. Located in the capital Abuja, the center is the second of its kind established in sub-Saharan Africa, and is the 14th overseas cultural center established by China’s government.
Facilities
The center is equipped with a multi-function hall, gallery, experience hub, library and classrooms which are available for all kinds of activities and cultural events.
Functions
Several cultural activities and training programs are held at the center, including arts exhibitions, concerts and graduation ceremony of Chinese language teaching program. Documentaries and movies on Chinese culture are screened at regular intervals. The center also offers facilities and venues for educational activities of local government, school and public agencies. The center is dedicated to promoting Chinese culture and strengthening cultural exchanges between the two countries.
