Position Summary

The Zonal Coordinator will provide leadership and coordination for all NEN activities within a designated geopolitical zone. The successful candidate will oversee and support State Directors within the zone, drive membership growth, strengthen stakeholder relationships, coordinate entrepreneurship programs, and ensure the successful implementation of NEN initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise State Directors within the assigned geopolitical zone.  
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and operational support to state chapters.  
  • Ensure effective implementation of NEN policies, programs, and strategic objectives.  
  • Facilitate collaboration and information sharing among State Directors.  
  •   Promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and SME development across the zone.
  • Coordinate regional entrepreneurship programs, workshops, conferences, and networking events. 
  • Support entrepreneurs in accessing training, markets, funding opportunities, and business development services. 
  • Identify and promote opportunities that benefit NEN members.  
  • Participate in national planning meetings and strategy sessions.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support state chapters in recruiting and retaining members.  
  • Drive awareness of NEN programs and initiatives within the zone.  
  • Encourage active participation of members in NEN activities.  
  •   Build strategic partnerships with government agencies, financial institutions, development organizations, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Represent NEN at regional events, conferences, and business forums.
  • Strengthen relationships that create opportunities for entrepreneurs and members. 
  • Monitor the performance and activities of State Directors. 
  • Submit periodic zonal reports to the National Secretariat.
  • Ensure compliance with NEN operational guidelines and standards.  

Role  Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of verifiable experience in entrepreneurship development, business development, SME support, economic development, management consulting, investment promotion, or related fields.  
  • Proven leadership experience within business organizations, professional associations, NGOs, enterprise development institutions, or corporate organizations.  
  • Strong understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the assigned geopolitical zone.  
  •   Excellent communication, leadership, networking, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Management, Marketing, Finance, or related disciplines. 
  • Professional certifications and memberships in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to entrepreneurship development and economic empowerment.
