NEN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of all services, programs, platforms, products, activities, and opportunities provided by the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Network (NEN), hereinafter referred to as “NEN”, “Organization”, “we”, “our”, or “us”.

By registering as a member, participating in any NEN activity, using the NEN Portal, attending events, applying for programs, or engaging with NEN services, you (“Member”, “Participant”, “User”, or “Applicant”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. MEMBERSHIP

1.1 Eligibility

Membership in NEN is open to:

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Startups
  • Students
  • Professionals
  • Business owners
  • Organizations
  • Investors
  • Individuals interested in entrepreneurship and economic development

Applicants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

1.2 Membership Approval

NEN reserves the right to:

  • Approve or reject membership applications
  • Suspend or terminate membership
  • Request verification documents where necessary

1.3 Membership Obligations

Members agree to:

  • Maintain professional conduct
  • Provide truthful information
  • Respect fellow members
  • Comply with NEN policies
  • Avoid fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities

1.4 Membership Renewal

Certain membership categories may require periodic renewal fees. Failure to renew may result in suspension of benefits and access.

1.5 Termination of Membership

NEN may suspend or terminate membership for:

  • Misconduct
  • Fraudulent activities
  • Abuse of NEN programs
  • Violation of laws
  • Damage to NEN’s reputation

Termination may occur without refund.

2. TRAINING PROGRAMS

2.1 Enrollment

Enrollment into training programs is subject to:

  • Availability of spaces
  • Payment where applicable
  • Fulfillment of eligibility requirements

2.2 Certification

Certificates may only be issued to participants who:

  • Complete required sessions
  • Meet attendance requirements
  • Fulfill assessments or project submissions

2.3 Intellectual Property

Training materials, videos, manuals, presentations, and resources remain the intellectual property of NEN unless otherwise stated.

Participants may not:

  • Resell materials
  • Reproduce content commercially
  • Share paid resources publicly

2.4 Conduct During Training

Participants must:

  • Maintain respectful communication
  • Avoid disruptive behavior
  • Refrain from harassment or discrimination

NEN reserves the right to remove participants violating these standards.

3. ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMS

3.1 Program Participation

Participation in entrepreneurship initiatives, incubation programs, mentorships, and startup development activities does not guarantee:

  • Business success
  • Funding approval
  • Investment opportunities
  • Government grants

3.2 Performance Responsibility

Participants remain solely responsible for:

  • Their business decisions
  • Financial management
  • Compliance with applicable laws
  • Operational risks

3.3 Mentorship Disclaimer

Mentorship and advisory support are provided for educational and strategic purposes only and should not replace legal, accounting, or financial consultation.

4. NEN PORTAL

4.1 Portal Access

Members may access the NEN Portal using approved login credentials.

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality
  • Protecting passwords
  • Activities occurring under their account

4.2 Prohibited Activities

Users shall not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Upload malicious software
  • Manipulate system functionality
  • Use the platform for illegal activities
  • Distribute spam or harmful content

4.3 Service Availability

NEN does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the portal and may temporarily suspend services for:

  • Maintenance
  • Security upgrades
  • Technical issues

4.4 Data Protection

NEN shall make reasonable efforts to protect user data but shall not be liable for unauthorized third-party breaches beyond its reasonable control.

5. NEN OPEN EVENTS

5.1 Event Registration

Registration may be mandatory for selected events.

NEN reserves the right to:

  • Limit attendance
  • Change venues
  • Modify schedules
  • Cancel events without prior notice

5.2 Media Consent

Participants grant NEN the right to:

  • Capture photographs
  • Record videos
  • Use event media for promotional purposes

5.3 Participant Conduct

Attendees must maintain professional behavior during events.

Any form of:

  • Violence
  • Harassment
  • Discrimination
  • Illegal activity

may result in immediate removal.

6. FREE NEN ADS PLACEMENT

6.1 Eligibility

Free advertisement placement opportunities may be available to eligible members at NEN’s discretion.

6.2 Advertisement Standards

Advertisements must not contain:

  • False information
  • Offensive content
  • Illegal products or services
  • Fraudulent schemes
  • Misleading financial claims

6.3 Content Removal

NEN reserves the right to:

  • Reject advertisements
  • Remove published ads
  • Suspend advertising privileges

without prior notice.

6.4 Liability

NEN shall not be responsible for:

  • Transactions between advertisers and customers
  • Product quality
  • Service delivery failures

7. FOREIGN TRADE EXHIBITIONS

7.1 Participation

Participation in international trade exhibitions is subject to:

  • Availability
  • Visa approvals
  • Travel regulations
  • Payment of applicable fees

7.2 Travel Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for:

  • Valid travel documents
  • Compliance with immigration laws
  • Personal insurance
  • Health requirements

7.3 Changes and Cancellations

NEN shall not be liable for cancellations caused by:

  • Government restrictions
  • Airline disruptions
  • Political instability
  • Natural disasters
  • Embassy decisions

7.4 International Compliance

Participants must comply with the laws and regulations of host countries.

8. BUSINESS FUNDING

8.1 Funding Opportunities

NEN may connect members with:

  • Investors
  • Financial institutions
  • Grant programs
  • Venture capital organizations

8.2 No Guarantee

NEN does not guarantee:

  • Loan approvals
  • Grants
  • Investments
  • Financial sponsorship

8.3 Accuracy of Information

Applicants must provide truthful and verifiable information during funding applications.

False information may result in:

  • Immediate disqualification
  • Membership suspension
  • Legal reporting where necessary

8.4 Financial Risk

All financial decisions remain the sole responsibility of the participant.

9. BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICES

9.1 Scope of Advisory Services

Advisory services may include:

  • Business planning
  • Marketing strategies
  • Startup guidance
  • Branding consultation
  • Growth strategies

9.2 No Professional Liability

NEN advisory services are informational and strategic in nature and do not constitute:

  • Legal advice
  • Financial advice
  • Tax consultation
  • Investment guarantees

9.3 Client Responsibility

Clients remain solely responsible for decisions implemented based on advisory recommendations.

10. PREMIUM ADVERTISEMENT

10.1 Payment

Premium advertisement services require full or agreed payment before publication unless otherwise approved.

10.2 Advertisement Approval

NEN reserves the right to:

  • Reject advertisements
  • Request modifications
  • Remove advertisements violating policy

10.3 Refund Policy

Payments for premium advertisements are generally non-refundable once campaigns commence.

11. ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAININGS

11.1 Training Participation

Participants must comply with all training instructions and guidelines.

11.2 Training Materials

All materials remain the intellectual property of NEN unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized distribution is prohibited.

11.3 Practical Implementation

Participants acknowledge that training outcomes depend on:

  • Individual effort
  • Market conditions
  • Business execution
  • Economic circumstances

12. INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS

12.1 Networking Services

NEN may facilitate international networking opportunities with:

  • Businesses
  • Investors
  • Organizations
  • Government agencies

12.2 Independent Agreements

Any agreement entered into between members and international contacts shall be independent of NEN.

12.3 Liability Disclaimer

NEN shall not be liable for:

13. LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

13.1 Participation Standards

Participants are expected to:

13.2 Certification and Recognition

NEN reserves the right to determine:

  • Graduation requirements
  • Awards
  • Leadership recognition criteria

13.3 Program Removal

Participants may be removed for:

  • Misconduct
  • Bullying
  • Harassment
  • Fraudulent representation

14. TRAVEL VISA REQUEST

14.1 Visa Assistance

NEN may provide:

  • Invitation letters
  • Guidance
  • Documentation support

for eligible travel programs and events.

14.2 No Visa Guarantee

NEN does not guarantee:

  • Visa approval
  • Embassy appointments
  • Immigration clearance

Visa decisions are solely made by the relevant embassy or immigration authorities.

14.3 Applicant Responsibility

Applicants remain responsible for:

  • Accuracy of submitted information
  • Visa fees
  • Embassy requirements
  • Compliance with immigration laws

14.4 Misrepresentation

Submission of false documents or misleading information may result in:

  • Immediate disqualification
  • Membership suspension
  • Reporting to appropriate authorities

15. PAYMENT TERMS

15.1 Fees

Certain NEN services may require:

  • Membership fees
  • Program fees
  • Event fees
  • Advertisement fees
  • Administrative charges

15.2 Refunds

Refund policies may vary depending on the service or event.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Administrative fees are non-refundable
  • Completed services are non-refundable

16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

NEN shall not be liable for:

  • Direct or indirect losses
  • Business interruption
  • Financial losses
  • Missed opportunities
  • Travel disruptions
  • Third-party actions

Participation in NEN programs and services is at the participant’s own risk.

17. PRIVACY POLICY

NEN may collect and process user information for:

  • Membership administration

  • Event coordination
  • Marketing purposes

NEN shall make reasonable efforts to protect user data in accordance with applicable laws.

18. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All NEN logos, branding materials, content, publications, and systems remain the property of NEN unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is prohibited.

19. AMENDMENTS

NEN reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Updated versions may be published on official NEN platforms.

Continued use of NEN services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

20. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent Nigerian courts.
